The Lady

And she is become a dowager
The lady of vanity and poise breaks
Bowed and bent she hugs the ground
But she has wondrous glamour still
A swan upon a pavement shuffling
The last steps of a glorious journey
Nothing escapes her steely gaze
Or a mind still sharp to thread steady wit
She may bend but never to break
She may not see your face now
So she will learn to read your feet
