See

Like a clear water we are now
Till our transparency shall fail
Time's glacial ice thicken around us
So even our eyes cannot pierce hope
Then nothing of us can be saved
And this is our cold treasure
Long winter's spent in starlight
Laid under a ceiling of ebony
Studded in glittering diamonds
And this bitter yet sweet existence
It is not for mortals to taste
But we feast upon each morsel
In a banquet of joy and regrets
For we are the elvenkind
And have seen every life age of the world
