Soft falls the snow tonight as the world dims into dusk. It hugs my warmth like suicide as it slowly fades and leaves this moment and becomes something else. Its passing takes something from me; though I do not know what? Perhaps the solitude of winter, or my eagerness for spring. Warmth is escaping me in this snowstorm as the cold passes through my clothing, but cold hands at last fall upon warm fur and loving canine dances. I am home and just as the snow is leaving have you come to fill days with your innocent wonder. For what the world takes and changes, we must wait to see, but always it replaces a sorrow for a joy.
